Engaging in creativity provides an opportunity to express emotions and states of mind which otherwise are difficult to explore. Researches show that engaging in art provides healing, hence contributes to mental health wellbeing. Creating art has healing properties explored excessively in many researches. Some of us cannot calm themselves through closing eyes and focusing on breathing. Many of us need a kin aesthetic activity alongside to make it possible to relax. -Calming Patterns -Breathing Circles -Taming Intrusive thoughts These exercises enable relaxation and reaching a zone of healing properties of a creative flow. The suggested exercises link with school curriculum in area of but not limited to: arts, PSHE, social development, etc. As mental health seems to be a priority after adverse circumstances of the pandemic and its restrictions, the mindful workshops allow to tap into the aspects of mental health which contributes to feeling better mentally through relaxation.
